Eger

Eger is the capital of Heves County. The town is situated at the South-Western part of Bükk Mountains, 180 m from the sea-level, 128 kilometers far from Budapest. The structure of the town is mainly determined by the valley of Eger stream, thus, the town is 12 kilometers long in direction of North–South, and 3 kilometers wide in direction of East–West.

It is an amazing experience to come to know the town, because the variety of the town and its environment fascinates the visitor immediately. Buildings enchant the tourists with its liberality or its discrete elegance. The feeling follows it: from gloomy to simple and friendly through heroic. Town structure has been developed in the 17th and 18th century.

The architecture is influenced by the baroque, and the Turkish heritage from the middle ages.
